Such a PITA they could have explained in simple terms how to accomplish those feats. I wasted so much time applying attributes to files only to become exasperated it didn't pick that up as I angrily imported one file at a time. The ability to import whole folders while preserving the metadata that is unique to each users ratings. We need a way to import, delete, modify, save presets that is reliable. How they managed to do that I really don't know. I gave my suggestions and it sounds like it's even worse in version 6 then it was in 5.

They have had ample time, over a DECADE to add some simple hooks into the operating system for adding, deleting preset files. That works fine so I'll do that when I set up my new PC. I also tested copying a bunch of presets into the GR6 folder directly and the rescanning. That's cool, just wasn't clear what it was doing. This does seem to indicate that when it imports GR5 presets with the option it just leaves them where they are (in GR5 folder) and just adds them to GR6 library. UPDATE: did a little more experimenting and managed to get remove the presets by a) removing them from the GR5 folder and then b) shutting down and restarting GR6. So it seems like it can't find the ngrr file (which is fine) but it's not updating the presets list. It still shows up in the list, although now when I select it, the settings don't change. I tried removing one preset from the GR5 presets folder on my hard drive and using GR6 "Rescan Library" (in case GR6 was just pointing to the one in GR5 folder instead of copying it somewhere). (like I said, I'd used the option to import all my GR5 presets which had worked) I looked in C:\Users\\Documents\Native Instruments\User Content\Guitar Rig 6\Rack Presets\Īnd there are no presets there to delete.
